Privacy Protocol

At TerminoAI, we believe that infrastructure management should be intelligent, but never invasive. Our privacy philosophy is built on the principle of Absolute Local Sovereignty.

1. Local-First Architecture

TerminoAI is a desktop application. This means that unlike cloud-based SSH managers, your sensitive data (SSH keys, server credentials, and connection strings) never touches our servers. Your machine is the only place where your keys exist.

Encryption at Rest

All data stored by the application is kept in a local SQLite database, encrypted with industry-standard protocols. Even if someone gains access to your files, your credentials remain protected.

2. No Silent Execution

The "Human-in-the-Loop" protocol is our core privacy and security standard. The AI pilot can suggest commands and analyze logs, but it has ZERO authority to execute any command without your explicit manual click.

3. AI Data Transmission

When you ask a question or request a diagnostic, the relevant logs or system states are sent to the AI provider you have selected (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or a local provider like Ollama). We do not store these conversations on our servers.

We recommend using local models (via Ollama) if your environment requires 100% air-gapped privacy.

4. Authentication & Sync

If you choose to use our optional cloud features (like plan subscriptions or basic preference sync), we use Firebase for secure authentication. We only sync non-sensitive metadata; your SSH keys never leave your device.

5. Zero Tracking

We do not track your server IP addresses, your keystrokes, or your confidential data. Our business model is based on providing a superior tool, not at the expense of your data.
